———“ 私たちの先祖たちが何百年も生活してきた土地に自分たちも長年暮らしていました。しかし数年前に石油会社を持つ裕福な個人に223ヘクタールの土地を奪われ熱帯雨林の生活の大部分を失いました。私達先住民族の多くの家族が今でも同意なしに土地を取られてしまっています。交渉や土地の買取で金銭や物々交換も全くなく生活を支える土地を失い経済的にも弱い立場に置かれています。残念ながら政府の先住民族への関心は強くなく、サポートを受けられないうえに政府の一部が海外の石油や鉱山会社にアマゾン熱帯雨林の土地の売却を許しています。また資源を求める彼らの行いによりアマゾン熱帯雨林の土地が汚染されています。先住民族の多くが今でも差別や偏見を受けています。

自分たちの生活の重要部分である土地を取り戻し、アマゾンの熱帯雨林を保護・回復させたいです。　取り戻したいアマゾンの土地は薬用ハーブ、木々、聖地である川、独特の動植物がとても豊かです。アマゾンの森は地球規模で気候や水、私たちの生命力のバランスを保っています。このまま汚染が続くと私たちのPachamamaは人間・そして全ての生き物の生命力を支えることができません。私たちは一つのコミュニティとして地球の自然界と共存しているのです。

もう一度森でのコミュニティ生活を始め、Nunkui (生命の女神), Pachamama（母なる地球), そして熱帯雨林に生きる全てのものを保護していきたいです。”————-

“Our ancestors had been living on this farm (Amazonian jungle, we call it farm) for centuries. The Amazonian rainforest is our life - the sacred space filled with vibrant bio-diversity offered by Pachamama/Nunkui (The Mother Earth/The goddess of Life/The giver of life) we lived together. Unfortunately, an individual who owns a petro company took 223 hectares of our land several years ago without dialoques or agreement. There was no monetary or material exchange. Many oil and mining companies are contaminating the Amaaonia rainforest. We as indigenous communities are discriminated and our rights are still violated.

Our lands have sacred rivers, medicinal trees and plants, animals and many other vibrant living things.

If they keep destructing our rainforest, Pachamama cannot sustain all life on the Earth.

We want to restore and protect the Nunki and the Pachamama (Mother Earth). We are working together to purchase our ancestral territories back to conserve all the living things in jungle. This is the only way we can have our rainforest back and bring the peace again. We ask for your support and co-create the harmonious living together.

The loss of their land, deforestaion and the economic crisis brought them a huge challgenge in their community - Part of their lives are taken. They are having a challenge in keeping the traditional way of living. Parents are struggling with finding jobs and support their family. Some parents leave their children in the village and cross the border on foot to seek a job while other familiy members take care of their children. Mining and oil comapines, inveders contaminate the natural world. Activiests and some of the Amazonian group leaders are being tortuned or killed unfortunately.

They had a vision of keeping harmony and trying a new approach - negotiate and have their lands back through dialogues and purchasing it back. While having the peace in the community, they have been in the place that they need to raise funds to purchase their land back.

Andres and Enriqueta have had a vision of welcoming and hosting visitors in Chinimpi from other countries for a long time and they have started a retreat several years ago.

Our travel to Chinimpi brought us full of gratitude, kindness and loves. They reminded us of joy and love of interconnectedness to our Mother Earth. The rainforest regulates the global climate and maintains the balance of water cycle. They offers abundance of medicinal trees and plants that have been part of many people’s healings and inspiration.
We strongly feel that this is the time to work collectively to preserve Shuar and many other communities as well as restoring and transforming home planet.
